Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Social Media Specialist to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for marketing and a genuine interest in the Canadian immigration landscape. You will play a key role in supporting our marketing efforts, helping us expand our reach and connect with prospective clients looking to immigrate to Canada.
Number of Positions Available: 1
Term of Employment: Until March 31, 2026 with the possibility of becoming permanent. Part-time position at 14 hours per week.
Location of Work: Remote
Wage: $30.00 per Hour
Language Requirements: Bilingual (English + other language) is a plus but not required
Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation Support: Assist in drafting, editing, and scheduling engaging content for various platforms, including blog posts, social media updates, website copy, and email newsletters, focusing on Canadian immigration news, programs, and success stories.
  • Social Media Management: Help manage and grow our social media presence (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok), including posting, community engagement, and monitoring analytics.
  • Website Updates: Support the maintenance and updating of website content, ensuring information is current, accurate, and optimized for search engines.
  • Email Marketing: Assist in developing and executing email marketing campaigns, including list segmentation and performance tracking.
  • Market Research: Conduct research on immigration trends, competitor marketing strategies, and target audience demographics to identify new opportunities.
  • Promotional Material Development: Help design and prepare marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, and presentations.
  • Event Support: Assist in organizing and promoting webinars, seminars, and other online events.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the marketing team as needed.
  • Reporting: Assist in tracking and reporting on marketing campaign performance

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (1-2 years) in a marketing support role, preferably within a professional services or immigration-related industry.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing principles, including social media, content marketing, and email marketing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency with social media platforms and scheduling tools.
  • Experience with Google Analytics for tracking and reporting on campaign performance.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace tools (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar, etc.) for collaboration and content management.
  • Basic understanding of SEO principles.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a strong asset.
  • Knowledge of Canadian immigration pathways and processes is an asset.

Education:

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
