Sales Associate (NOC 64100)

MEADIAsolutions is seeking a new Full-Time (36 - 40 hours/week) retail sales associate for our Whitehorse store. Position can start part-time and move to full-time in future. We are an Apple Service Provider committed to providing superior customer service. This job involves product demonstrations, customer training, sales, and staying up to date on the latest products and accessories to ensure we find the best solutions for our customers. This role is ideally suited to individuals who are outgoing, enthusiastic, tech-savvy, and passionate about providing great customer service.
This position is responsible for selling products and services, creating service request orders, completing basic diagnostics, building and maintaining successful customer relationships, and performing store operations. Training will be provided, but a keen interest and/or experience with Apple technologies is an advantage.
Customer and sales-related duties

  • Greets all customers, identifies their needs and helps them select appropriate products and services, making additional suggestions as appropriate
  • Demonstrate products, their features and benefits
  • Estimate or quote prices and credit terms.
  • Provides support and troubleshooting for customers as required
  • Handles customer service complaints as required, and informs store manager of any customer service issues
  • Keeps informed about merchandise carried, new products, manufacturers, costs and prices
  • Process sales, rental, or leasing transactions using cash, credit cards, or other payment methods.
  • Handle customer returns or exchanges.
  • Ensures inventory is invoiced completely and accurately
  • Follows up on customer back orders and shipments
  • Maintains merchandise displays and preserves the presentable condition of assigned areas
  • Assists with pick-ups, deliveries, and errands as required

Visual merchandising and display duties

  • Design and set up window and interior displays to promote products.
  • Ensure displays comply with brand guidelines.
  • Set up lighting for displays to create a visual atmosphere.
  • Maintain display areas and stock shelves.

Administrative and operational duties

  • Prepare sales and leasing contracts.
  • Maintain sales records and assist with inventory control.
  • Assist with inventory counts
  • Order parts and products for stock and customers
  • Open and close the shop, answer phones, reply to emails
  • Perform general cleaning and tidying of the store.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Excellent English (written and oral proficiency)
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Computer knowledge: Mac OS, iOS devices, email, and the Internet
  • Apple computer and accessory product knowledge is an asset
  • Confident in making decisions and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good with time management, prioritizing and able to work under pressure
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • High school completion required
  • College diploma, technical program, or undergraduate degree is an asset
  • 6 months of sales and customer service experience
