Under the direction of the Residential Supervisor, the Residence Support Worker is responsible for primary care, support and supervision of persons in residence. The residents may show evidence of behavioural, social, emotional or addiction disorders. The primary responsibility of this position is to respond to and work with persons therapeutically to effect positive behavioural change; building self-esteem and life skills in a residential setting.
In addition to providing client care, tasks to be performed will include cleaning, organizing, filing, documenting and food preparation.
Conditions of Employment (documents will be required before hire):
- RCMP Vulnerable Sector Check
- First Aid/CPR Certificate (St. John’s Ambulance or Red Cross)
- TB Clearance
- Yukon Class 5 Driver's Licence
