About the Role
Are you interested in supporting the 2026 Census and making a real impact in your community? Statistics Canada is hiring Recruitment Clerks to assist with recruiting a talented and diverse census workforce.
In this role, you will help promote census opportunities, process applications, organize interviews, maintain records, and communicate with candidates; playing a key part in a project that matters to all Canadians.
Language Requirements

  • English essential

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote census employment opportunities by posting materials in your designated work area.
  • Communicate with candidates by phone to assess their application.
  • Perform data entry and maintain recruitment files.
  • Coordinate with colleagues to organize schedules and conduct candidate interviews.
  • Create pools of qualified candidates and help resolve recruitment challenges.
  • Respond to candidate inquiries by phone or in writing regarding recruitment activities.
  • Conduct second language testing.

Education:
Successful completion of two years of secondary school OR an acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
Essential Experience:

  • Experience providing general administrative support in a physical or virtual office.
  • Computer proficiency and experience using various business tools (email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint presentations, etc.).
