Position Overview
Arctic Inland Resources Ltd. is seeking a Seasonal Materials Handler / Yard & Delivery Support team member to join our Dawson City branch.
This position plays a key role in supporting daily yard operations, customer service, and local deliveries. The successful candidate will work in a hands-on environment assisting contractors and homeowners, maintaining yard organization, and ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently.
This is an active, physically demanding role that requires a strong work ethic, attention to safety, and a valid Class 5 driver’s licence to perform local deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
Yard & Materials Handling
• Load and unload company delivery vehicles and customer vehicles.
• Unload transport trucks and stock materials in proper yard locations.
• Maintain yard, storage sheds, roadways, and special order areas in a clean and organized condition.
• Operate forklifts and yard equipment (training and certification provided as required).
• Ensure all materials leaving the yard have been properly invoiced.
• Use proper material handling techniques to minimize product damage.
• Work safely and effectively in varying weather conditions.
Deliveries
• Perform local deliveries using company vehicles.
• Ensure deliveries are accurate, secure, and completed in a timely manner.
• Provide professional and courteous service at customer job sites.
• Conduct basic vehicle checks and report maintenance concerns.
Customer Service & Operational Support• Assist contractors and retail customers in locating and loading products.
• Provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service at all times.
• Support front-counter sales during busy periods.
• Maintain accurate records of customer transactions when required.
• Handle customer concerns in a positive and constructive manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized branch environment.

Qualifications• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence (required).
• Clean driver’s abstract preferred.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical work throughout the day.
• Comfortable working outdoors in changing weather conditions.
• Forklift experience considered an asset (training provided).
• Knowledge of building materials is an asset but not required.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude.
