Cashier

Job OverviewWe are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our retail team. Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases in a professional manner
• Operate POS systems accurately for cash, credit, and digital payments
• Handle cash handling procedures with precision, including giving correct change
• Upsell products and promote ongoing promotions to increase sales
• Conduct product demos when applicable to educate customers about features and benefits
• Maintain organized checkout areas and ensure merchandise is properly displayed
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions and resolving issues promptly
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to minimize wait times
• Follow phone etiquette standards when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries
• Support merchandising efforts by restocking shelves and organizing displays as needed

Experience

• Prior experience in retail sales or cashier roles is preferred but not required; training will be provided
• Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately
• Strong communication skills, including active listening and clear verbal interaction
• Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail merchandising practices is advantageous
• Demonstrated organizational skills and time management capabilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Ability to maintain professionalism with excellent phone etiquette during customer interactions
