Volunteer Parking Attendant – Yukon Literacy Coalition

Role OverviewWe are looking for volunteers that can help with the role of Parking Attendants. They will be a part of short, rotating shifts and will have an opportunity to engage in the event and participate as well. The event is a cross-cultural exchange between Yukon First Nations, newcomers to Canada, and everyone in between!
ResponsibilitiesThey will be under the direction of a coordinator and will be a part of short, rotating shifts. They will greet vehicles as they enter the parking lot, direct event goers to parking spots, and keep the flow of traffic safe.
Experience and SkillsGood understanding of English, any parking experience welcome but not necessary, and able to follow instructions.
Estimated Time CommitmentThe event will be at the Da Ku Cultural Centre in Haines Junction and will be on February 28th from 11am-7pm. Transportation is not provided.
Volunteer Recognition or BenefitsThere will be a volunteer shirt, trained on site on the day of, hot lunch, Filipino dinner banquet, free admission into event, and opportunities to participate in activities.
