Raven Recycling Society is seeking an Administrative and HR Assistant with a strong bookkeeping and data focus to support financial tracking, payroll coordination, and HR reporting. This role functions as an assistant to the bookkeeper and management team and supports Raven’s multi-stream nonprofit operations through accurate data entry, reconciliation, and reporting.
Responsibilities
• Data entry, reconciliation, and reporting within accounting databases; knowledge of Sage Accounting would be an asset
• Support accounts receivable tracking, invoicing data, and payment follow-up
• Support payroll data preparation, verification, and reporting
• Support financial tracking across multiple funding agreements, contracts, and programs
• Maintain accurate electronic financial records to support audits, year-end reporting, and funder compliance
• Support electronic reporting through government, funder, and program-specific online portals
• Identify data inconsistencies or errors and flag them for correction
• Assist with year-end filing and financial record organization
• Assist with preparation of funding and financial reports
• Assist with warehouse and depot data entry as it relates to financial tracking
• Support the maintenance of personnel files, payroll records, and HR documentation in compliance with privacy and employment legislation
• Support WCB claims processes and the maintenance of related records
• Support the coordination of employee surveys and preparation of data summaries
• Maintain organized electronic and physical records storage systems
• Provide bookkeeping and data support during audits, inspections, or peak reporting periods
Employment Requirements
Post-secondary education in accounting, bookkeeping, business administration, or a related field is an asset. Relevant work experience in bookkeeping or financial administration will be considered in lieu of formal post-secondary education.
Working Conditions
Work is performed under normal office conditions. The position is scheduled for three days per week,
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, during standard work hours. Occasional exposure to outdoor
conditions (all seasons)
