Director of Natural Resources and Implementation

Job Summary: Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Natural Resources & Implementation is responsible for the overall management and operations of the Natural Resources and Implementation Department. The incumbent manages and facilitates the overall approach to political strategies, natural resource/environmental mandates, implementation mandates and intergovernmental mandates set by Leadership. This position is a key member of the Senior Management Team and is responsible for implementation of the strategic plan.
Screening Criteria: Post-secondary education in political science, business administration, natural resources or relevant field or relevant field or equivalency obtained through coursework and/or senior management experience.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in senior management, preferably in a First Nations setting. Experience working with Yukon First Nations and Federal or Territorial governments in intergovernmental relations, policy and/or legislative development and implementation. Experience working with and providing advice to First Nation political leadership.
Salary: Level 11: $107,776.50 - $134,706.00
