Position Overview:
The Stores Manager / Stores Lead is responsible for overseeing the efficient management of aircraft parts, tools, and consumables within the company’s Stores Department. This role ensures compliance with aviation regulations, optimizes inventory control, and supports maintenance operations by guaranteeing timely availability of materials.
Key Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of aviation regulator requirements for parts handling and storage.
- Excellent organizational, leadership and communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Experience in aviation stores or inventory management
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365
- Ability to work unsupervised and manage priorities for a variety of tasks with frequent interruptions
- Ability to communicate clearly and correspond via phone and email
Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate stock levels of aircraft parts, tools, and consumables
- Implement inventory control systems to minimize shortages and excess stock
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure timely delivery of parts and advise of delays
- Shipping and receiving of aircraft parts using an electronic inventory system in accordance with Transport Canada regulations.
- Parts and materials purchasing and handling including receiving inspection, storing parts, issuing parts and retaining documentation
- Timely return and shipping of cores

Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure all materials are stored and handled in accordance with aviation safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Maintain proper documentation for traceability and certification of parts
- Responsible for inventory cycle counts on a periodic basis and support the year end inventory count process

Team Leadership
- Provide training on inventory systems and compliance procedures
- Actively participate in the Safety & Quality Management System
- Supervise store personnel, assign tasks, and monitor performance

Process Improvement:
- Develop and implement best practices for inventory control and storage
- Develop and implement best practices for control of company tools
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement
