Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Manager provides comprehensive human resources services, including recruitment, staffing, development and training, capacity assessments, fair employment practices, employee assistance and employee relations practices. The incumbent will supervise the Human Resources Officer positions.
Education and Experience:
Post-Secondary education majoring in Human Resources Management or a related discipline combined with experience working with First Nations governments, preferably at a management level (including supervisory experience) for a minimum of five years; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which would provide the appropriate knowledge skills and experience.
Conditions of Employment:
- A valid Yukon Class 5 driver’s license.
- Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
- Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends, as required
- Extended workdays may be required to accomplish tasks and meet workload demands during peak periods, as directed
