Job Description
We currently have a job opening for a Civil Engineering Technologist in our Whitehorse office to join our growing team. You will join a dynamic team of engineers and technologists to provide design and construction inspection for a variety of clients with a focus on roads, site servicing, water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, and stormwater management projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Creating 2D conceptual drawings.
• Designing infrastructure, and commercial/land development projects with Civil 3D.
• Creating conceptual and preliminary designs.
• Preparing detailed design drawings.
• Supporting with tender documents.
• Supporting with engineering analysis.
• Supporting with technical report submissions.
• Conducting field surveys and data collection.
• Performing construction inspection and assisting with contract administration.
• Coordinating and communicating with multi-discipline project teams.
Job Requirements
• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from an accredited post-secondary institution.
• 1+ years of relevant experience in civil design.
• Experience in using theodolite and level.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid Driver's License (required).
• Experience with construction inspection is an asset.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and quality.
• Ability to work within tight deadlines and schedules.
