Overview
Reporting to the Director of Wellness and Education, this position is responsible for ensuring that Kluane First Nation (KFN) Citizens and their families have access to Cultural Wellness Support services and activities. The incumbent will work to enable Citizens and their families to participate in culturally relevant programs and activities that promote healing, wellness, cultural identity, and community cohesion, and perform other related duties. This position plays a role in creating connections and support between the traditional teachings (Dän K’e) and spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical healing and well-being.
Education and Experience
Degree or Diploma in Human Services, Social Work, Mental Health or a related field. Considerable experience working within social and mental wellness programs and services. Considerable experience in providing social support services and activities. Computer skills are required. Experience managing budget and creating workplans would be an asset. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Conditions of Employment

  • Valid Yukon Class 4 driver’s license or willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment. (It is each employee’s responsibility to obtain liability insurance (business) on his or her car insurance)
  • Clean driver’s abstract
  • Standard First aid and CPR certificate
  • Willing to work overtime, outside normal working hours, and to travel as required
