Finance and Administrative Manager

About the Role
We are a busy and growing COR-certified commercial construction company, and we are seeking a highly skilled Finance and Administrative Manager to oversee our organization’s financial, human resources, and administrative functions. This role is responsible for full-cycle accounting, HR management, and the smooth operation of office systems. Reporting to senior leadership, the Finance and Administrative Manager plays a key role in ensuring financial integrity, supporting staff, and driving organizational efficiency.
What You’ll Do

  • Lead full-cycle accounting: accounts payable/receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting, and audits.
  • Responsible for remittances including payroll source deductions, GST, WCB in multiple provinces and territories.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models to guide decision-making.
  • Oversee all HR functions: recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, employee relations, and compliance with employment legislation.
  • Manage payroll, benefits, and compensation administration.
  • Support workplace culture by fostering staff development and engagement.
  • Oversee office operations.
  • Advise senior leadership on financial performance, workforce planning, and organizational risks.
  • Directly responsible for office staff.

What We’re Looking For

  • Degree, or equivalent experience, in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Human Resources.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in finance, HR, and administration.
  • Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting, GAAP standards, and HR and employment standards legislation.
  • Proficiency with accounting and HR/payroll software.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
