About the Role
We are a busy and growing COR-certified commercial construction company, and we are seeking a highly skilled Finance and Administrative Manager to oversee our organization’s financial, human resources, and administrative functions. This role is responsible for full-cycle accounting, HR management, and the smooth operation of office systems. Reporting to senior leadership, the Finance and Administrative Manager plays a key role in ensuring financial integrity, supporting staff, and driving organizational efficiency.
What You’ll Do
- Lead full-cycle accounting: accounts payable/receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting, and audits.
- Responsible for remittances including payroll source deductions, GST, WCB in multiple provinces and territories.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models to guide decision-making.
- Oversee all HR functions: recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, employee relations, and compliance with employment legislation.
- Manage payroll, benefits, and compensation administration.
- Support workplace culture by fostering staff development and engagement.
- Oversee office operations.
- Advise senior leadership on financial performance, workforce planning, and organizational risks.
- Directly responsible for office staff.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree, or equivalent experience, in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Human Resources.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in finance, HR, and administration.
- Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting, GAAP standards, and HR and employment standards legislation.
- Proficiency with accounting and HR/payroll software.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
