Wage: $33.25/hr

Job Description
The All-Stars Program Coordinator plays an active leadership role in planning, preparing, and delivering programming for children in the All-Stars Program. This includes supporting program development, behavior management, paperwork, food preparation, and culinary education. The coordinator is primarily responsible for ensuring that program delivery supports positive child development in a fun, engaging, and supportive environment.
The All-Stars Program serves school-aged children from kindergarten to grade six, providing opportunities for growth through recreational activities, nutrition, arts, literacy, and physical activity. Staff work together to create a safe and welcoming environment that fosters self-esteem, teamwork, and healthy living

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day operations of a single All-Stars program location, ensuring compliance with BGCY standards, policies, and values.
  • Ensure program quality aligns with the Agency’s Mission, Vision, and strategic direction.
  • Maintain confidentiality in program planning and delivery.
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Stay informed of all BGCY programs and services, including use of communication tools such as email, Slack, and website updates.
  • Support the Program Manager/Director with administrative and office duties as required.
  • Ensure compliance with ELCC licensing standards and contribute to maintaining program accreditation.
  • Develop and deliver engaging programming for school-aged children and middle-years youth, following structured program plans.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive atmosphere that encourages teamwork, self-esteem, and personal growth through safe and fun activities.
  • Ensure facility safety, cleanliness, and security, including opening/closing responsibilities, setup/take-down, general maintenance, and care of vehicles and equipment.
  • Promote client safety by adhering to emergency policies, procedures, and conducting safety drills with staff and participants.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Demonstrated teamwork, leadership, and supervisory skills with proven conflict resolution abilities.• Strong communication skills: oral, written, facilitation, and interpersonal.• Effective time management and organizational skills.• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.• Post-secondary education in recreation, social services, child and youth care, or related discipline (asset).• Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector clearance.• Valid CPR/First Aid Certificate.• Valid Food Safe Level 1 Certificate (asset).• Early Learning and Child Care (ELCC) Level 3 Certification.• Must meet ELCC requirements (TB testing, immunization record, doctor’s note).• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with access to reliable transportation.• Minimum of one year experience in program development and delivery for children or youth in a social, recreational, or community setting.
