Construction Project Manager

NGC Builders Ltd. is hiring a Construction Project Manager to oversee the delivery of construction projects in Whitehorse. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing scope, schedule, budget, and on-site coordination to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.
Position Summary
As Construction Project Manager, you will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of assigned construction projects. You will work closely with site supervisors, clients, trades, and suppliers to ensure project delivery aligns with schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, construction schedules, and budgets
  • Coordinate site mobilization, subcontractors, materials, and equipment
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, trades, and suppliers to ensure clear communication
  • Lead site and coordination meetings; track progress and resolve issues
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and internal policies
  • Oversee cost control, change orders, RFIs, and timely invoicing
  • Provide regular reporting to senior leadership on project status and risks

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience managing residential or commercial construction projects
  • Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent education, knowledge and experience; PMP certification an asset
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, safety practices, and regulatory requirements
  • Proven ability to lead teams and coordinate multiple subcontractors
  • Proficiency with project management software
  • Solid communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license
