Senior Project Manager - Residential Retrofits

Earthrise Building Services Inc., a dynamic startup and Yukon's premier retrofit accelerator, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Project Manager to help oversee a community-scale residential retrofit initiative. Position Overview:
As the Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing all project requirements, ensuring the successful execution of a significant residential retrofit initiative. This is a two-year term position with the possibility of extension, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-impact project and grow with an innovative company.
Responsibilities:

  • Manage and administer change orders and change directives.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for contractors, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration.
  • Liaise with clients, addressing their needs and concerns while maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Apply expertise in architecture, project management, construction management, and/or contract management to oversee all project phases.
  • Ensure projects are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders, including government branches and community organizations.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Administer contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on managing complex construction or retrofit projects.
  • Proven ability to manage change orders, change directives, and contracts.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • A passion for energy conservation and reducing carbon emissions.

Assets:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience with residential retrofit projects.
  • Familiarity with local Yukon construction practices and regulations.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
