Are you enthusiastic, adventurous, and passionate about sharing the beauty of the Yukon with others? We’re looking for a dedicated Tour Guide to join our team at Northern Lights Resort & Spa.
As a tour guide, you’ll have the chance to lead Northern Lights viewing experiences, daytime sightseeing, natural interpretation tours, and airport transfers. Our guests come from all over the world, providing an exciting opportunity to connect with people from diverse cultures while showcasing the beauty of the North. With multi-day stays, you’ll have time to build rapport with guests, who often express their gratitude generously.
This role offers a dynamic and supportive work environment, where teamwork and independent decision-making are equally valued. Whether you’re working part-time or full-time, you’ll play a key role in creating unforgettable experiences for our guests.

Requirements / Qualifications:
- Guiding Skills: Strong interpretative skills or willingness to learn (training provided).
- Local Knowledge: Good understanding of Yukon history and geography or a commitment to acquire this knowledge.
- Organization Skills: Ability to plan and schedule effectively.
- Reliability & Punctuality: Dependable and on time.
- Weather Resilience: Willingness to work outdoors in all conditions.
- Problem Solving: Ability to resolve itinerary changes and other challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
- Luggage transfers and check-in/out procedures (hotel, airport, etc.).
- Delivering engaging tour commentaries and coordinating activities with local guides.
- Guiding sightseeing and Aurora tours while addressing inquiries from guests.
- Driver’s License: Valid Canadian Class IV driver’s license required.
- First Aid: Up-to-date First Aid & CPR certification.
- Language: Fluency in English. Additional languages are an asset.
- Additional Skills: Photography skills are an asset (training available).
Work Environment & Benefits
- Hours: Flexible part-time or full-time options (25-40+ hours/week), including 3-4 night shifts.
- Competitive Pay: $20–$30/hour, based on experience, plus generous gratuities from our appreciative guests.
- Accommodations: On-site staff housing is provided on a case-by-case basis.
