The Champagne and Aishihik First Nations (CAFN) invites qualified contractors to submit proposals for a Program Coordinator position for the CAFN Youth Leadership Academy program that will be delivered in Dakwäkäda (Haines Junction) in the spring and summer of 2025.

Requirements:
1. Proposals must include an hourly wage or contract amount for payment of services from May 1st to August 31st, 2025.
2. Proposals must include the following criteria to demonstrate the applicant’s suitability for the Program Coordinator position:
Knowledge of CAFN’s culture, traditions and history
Educational background (governance, office administration, youth outreach or another related field)
Professional experience coordinating programs, workshops and/or training for youth
Experience managing program budgets, completing reporting for funding and completing program evaluations
Administrative skills and proficiency with both computer systems and social media platforms
Personal suitability to support a youth leadership program
Evaluation:
Proposals will be assessed on completeness, experience, value, and alignment with project goals.
There is a preference for a CAFN citizen to be hired for this contract, so CAFN applicants are asked to clearly identify themselves as a CAFN citizen within their proposals.
Scope of Work
This contract is for a full-time Program Coordinator position from May 1, 2025, to August 31, 2025.
The CAFN Youth Leadership Academy Program Coordinator will be responsible for:
Assisting the Program Instructor with student recruitment and program orientation activities
Developing and maintaining the program schedule
Coordinating participation of Elders, Knowledge-Keepers, speakers, facilitators, CAFN staff and citizens
Assisting the Program Instructor and Elder teacher(s) with instruction of program curriculum (as needed)
Managing overall program budget and financial payments including honoraria, training allowances, facilitator billing, etc.
Providing holistic case management and coordinating wrap around support for students
Providing supervision and transportation for on-the-land learning
Assisting the Program Instructor to completing funding reporting and program evaluation requirements
