The Champagne and Aishihik First Nations (CAFN) invites qualified contractors to submit proposals for a Program Instructor position for the CAFN Youth Leadership Academy program that will be delivered in Dakwäkäda (Haines Junction) in the spring and summer of 2025.
Key Information
Requirements:
1. Proposals must include an hourly wage or contract amount for payment of services from May 1st to August 31st, 2025.
2. Proposals must include the following criteria to demonstrate the applicant’s suitability for the Program Instructor position:
Knowledge of CAFN’s culture, traditions and history
Educational background and experience teaching or working with youth
Experience leading workshops, training or programs for CAFN citizens
Knowledge of and experience in specialized program curriculum areas including personal development and holistic healing modalities, cultural preservation, language, land stewardship, leadership skills, First Nations governance, economic development, and community consultation
Experience managing programs and leading staffing teams
Personal suitability to deliver a youth leadership program
Evaluation:
Proposals will be assessed on completeness, experience, value, and alignment with project goals.
There is a preference for a CAFN citizen to be hired for this contract, so CAFN applicants are asked to clearly identify themselves as a CAFN citizen within their proposals.
Scope of Work
This contract is for a full-time Program Instructor position from May 1, 2025, to August 31, 2025.
The CAFN Youth Leadership Academy Program Instructor will be responsible for:
Managing student recruitment and program orientation activities
Instructing program curriculum
Leading the program staffing team
Providing holistic case management
Providing supervision and transportation for on-the-land learning
Completing funding reporting and program evaluation requirements
