We’re looking for a hands-on, driven Shop Floor Supervisor to lead our growing manufacturing team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, loves mentoring others, and wants to help shape the future of a company from the inside out. You’ll work closely with our team of technicians—guiding, supporting, and inspiring them as we innovate and grow together.

A successful applicant will:

  • Promote and enforce all safety and production standards and policies
  • Engage a team in the development, implementation and creation of processes to optimize production, quality and cost (not limited to the creation of manuals, procedures and policies).
  • Be an active participant in recruitment, performance reviews and team retention.
  • Assist management in the creation of measurable goals and reporting standards.
  • Organizes workflow/scheduling and managing assignments to ensure our goals are consistently achieved.
  • Ensure our team is compliant with all Federal, Territory and Municipal safety regulations, environmental standards and company policy.
  • Provide updates, reports and performance reviews to the management team.
  • Prepare our team for the ever changing industry, technology and innovation trends allowing us to remain competitive and unique ( ie: training, adequate work environments and tool acquisition etc).
  • Collaborate with our management team to set financial goals, develop targets and monitor expenses.
  • Inspire a positive culture of teamwork, innovation, accountability and safety.
  • Coordinate regular maintenance checks on the facility and report all issues to the management team.
  • Possess a valid Class 5 driver's license (drivers abstract will be required at time of hire) for forklift operation.
  • Manage the maintenance program for the main facility (daily, weekly and monthly).
  • Monitor parts inventory and maintain parts and materials database.

Experience/Skills:

  • Proven management experience (2+ years) in a management or supervisory role, preferably working with different trades
  • Experience with carpentry, mechanics, welding would be considered asset
  • Proficiency with using hand and power tools (hammer, saws, drills, etc) is required.
  • Experience with communication and team building skills within a dynamic environment.
  • At least one year of experience working with CNC Machine, or a strong aptitude for learning with the desire to develop skills to operate a CNC Machine.
  • Must display an eagerness to learn all the unique tasks associated with the manufacturing floor to better assist your team with daily, weekly and monthly goals.
  • Proficient knowledge of Federal, Territorial and Municipal regulations, standards and requirements for industry.
  • Experience working in noisy, dusty, and hot/cold environments, and able to wear appropriate PPE
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to quality in all aspects of the job.
