Yukon Montessori School is seeking a dynamic, organized and flexible individual to join our dedicated team.
This position would be a good fit for someone with previous experience in office administrative or customer service roles. We use a unique operating system and proprietary program to manage our day-to-day operations and are looking for someone to support the ongoing growth of the school operations and administration.
Job Summary:
The YMS office administrator oversees and implements administrative procedures, supports reporting and financial requirements, maintains filing/records systems and facilitates the overall functioning of the school. The administrator is responsible for ongoing communication with families, educators, board members and the community.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in office administration or customer service roles.
- Post secondary education in business or office administration is an asset.

- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment are key to success in the role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize school correspondence, information, and filing systems.
- Assemble and analyze data, prepare reports and documents for the school and society fillings.
- Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals and correspondence.
- Develop and execute systems to manage information and annual school processes.
- Assist the lead guides, teachers and other staff when needed with day-to-day classroom organization.
- Laise with bookkeeper to ensure all financial requirements are managed.
- Regular communication with parents and community members.
- Support YMS board with implementation of strategic plan.
- Organizing and coordinating large and small group events and fundraisers.
- Provide excellent customer service.
