The Kitchen Manager's role is integral to the success of the Food Innovation Hub and will work closely with the NNDDC team and the Mayo community to shape and oversee the operations of this shared kitchen space.
NNDDC is seeking a dedicated and community-oriented individual to serve as the Kitchen Manager for the Ihdzí' Food Innovation Hub project. This is a crucial role that will be integral to the success of the hub and its ability to serve the Mayo community. The Kitchen Manager position is flexible and part-time. Subject to further collaboration across local entities and interest, this could become a full-time role in the future.
The Kitchen Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the communal kitchen space, as well as playing a key leadership role in developing local food products, systems, and maintaining the policies, protocols, and governance structures that will shape the hub's future. They will work closely with the Ihdzí' team, kitchen users, and the broader community to ensure the space is run in a safe, efficient, and equitable manner.
Reporting to the NNDDC Community Sustainability Manager, the Kitchen Manager will be expected to be a community leader, offering mentorship and support to aspiring and established food producers. As the central point of contact for the hub, they will be responsible for fostering trusting relationships built on mutual respect.
