Job Description
Banyan is looking to hire Junior Geologist/Core Logger at our AurMac Gold property located in Mayo, YT to join our team to help advance a variety of mineral exploration projects throughout the 2025 field season.
This position will be field based under the supervision of the Exploration Manager. The season is anticipated to run until approximately early December 2025 and resume in February 2026 for the 2026 field season.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Geoteching, logging, sampling and photographing of core
- Data entry utilizing core logging software
- Collection and interpretation of geological data from exploration programs, including diamond drilling, field mapping, surface sampling, and re-logging
- Some core cutting may be required
- Maintain health, safety, and environmental standards
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience:
- Some training in Geology/Exploration with a Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Earth Science (1-5 years’ experience in mineral exploration) preferred
- Standard first aid (asset)
- Proficiency with Microsoft office and geological software is an asset
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Self-motivated and ability to work alone
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs repetitively
- Valid driver’s license
Salary: $325.00-$450.00 per day based on experience
Camp Based: Transportation, room and board provided at no cost
Schedule: 4 Week on site rotations preferred, flexibility on schedule.
