Journeyman Plumber

Hvactech Systems Inc. is seeking a Journeyman Plumber to join our established Mechanical Contracting organization. In this key position, the Journeyman Plumber reports to the project manager and forms part of a team responsible for the management, facilitation, administration, growth, and profitability of the Mechanical Department
The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with the ability to knowledgably assign and instruct personnel in the proper performance of mechanical operations safely.

  • To the Journeyman Plumber, we offer: Hourly Wage of $50 per hr
  • Base wage of $45.00 per hr.
  • RRSP/TSFA Contribution $4.00 per hour
  • Comprehensive Medical / Dental Plan ($1.00 per hr)
  • 2 Weeks Paid holidays and vacation after 1st
    year employment
  • Installation and repair of Commercial HVAC Equipment
  • Determining project requirements according to blueprint, drawing and written or verbal instructions
  • Transportation of materials and equipment
  • Effective critical thinking, problem solving and proficiency in mathematics/clear communication skills.
  • Maintaining a high standard of customer service and relations as a member of our team
  • Additional duties as assigned.
  • Adequate knowledge of work processes and requirements for both physical labor and shop equipment
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • High organizational ability and systematic timing

Journey Level Plumbing with Interprovincial Ticket (Red Seal)
The Mechanical Department provides services to facilities consisting of, but not limited to: Boilers, pumps, control valves, RTUs, biomass boilers, water source heat pumps, storage/buffer tanks, fluid coolers, domestic fixtures, drainage, glycol systems, radiant in-floor systems and HWT tanks
Beneficial additional Licenses/Certifications include Relevant Interprovincial Tickets in Plumbing, Gas A and/or B tickets, Electrical, Oil Burner, Controls and Sheet Metal.
Fall Arrest, First Aid, Confined Spaces and Arial Lift
Successful candidate(s) must be enthusiastic and physically fit. Work will include heavy lifting, handling/moving large objects, balancing, and climbing.
