Introduction
Snowline Gold Corp is a Yukon-based mineral exploration company focused on advancing our flagship resource and advancing early-stage gold projects in the east-central Yukon. We are building a leading exploration company fit for the future while aiming to set new standards in social and environmental responsibility.
We seek a highly organized, collaborative, and innovative HR specialist with comprehensive experience across all HR functions to build and shape the HR function at Snowline Gold Corp.
Overview
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will use your experience and deep understanding of standards and best practices to design and implement key HR processes, systems, and strategies that align with Snowline’s goals and values. You will assist our leadership team with the full suite of HR functions, including but not limited to compliance, recruitment, employee relations, and benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with leaders on HR and employee matters, providing guidance and coaching to ensure compliance with policies and consistency across the business.
- Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention, and company culture.
- Manage the full recruitment cycle for open roles, from intake meetings, job postings, and candidate screening to interviews, offer letters, and smooth onboarding of new hires.
- Collaborate with payroll to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing and vacation tracking.
- Manage the entire employee lifecycle, ensuring smooth transitions from preboarding through offboarding.
- Act as the main point of contact for employees for HR-related enquiries.
- Administer benefits programs in Canada, including, communicating with insurance providers, managing accommodation requests, and collaborate with Health & Safety to support early or modified returns to work.
- Organize and maintain HR databases, ensuring proper storage, confidentiality, and accuracy of documentation.
- Ensure regulatory compliance, keeping up to date on changes in employment legislation, for all regions that Snowline operates in, and their potential impact on company policies and practices.
- Assist with various administrative tasks, including preparing employment verification letters, managing immigration processes, and coordinating meetings.
Qualifications and Experience
- 5+ years of experience in progressive HR roles, and experience working as part of a management team
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant work experience in lieu of degree is accepted.
- Experience within the mineral resources industry is not critical but would be considered an asset.
- Hands-on comprehensive experience across all HR functions with a deep understanding of HR standards and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all organizational levels and across various business functions.
- Strong knowledge of employment regulations in the Yukon, including the Employment Standards Act and Human Rights Act. Familiarity with parallel Acts in British Columbia, and other provinces is a plus.
- Detail-oriented, adaptable, and skilled in communication, organization, and problem-solving.
- Proactive team player, excelling in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Willingness to work overtime as and when required during the busy exploration season between May and October.
- Proficiency with HR software, systems and MS Office suite.
- Current eligibility to work in Canada.

Location: Either working out of our corporate head office, Vancouver (BC) or Whitehorse office (YT). Flexible and/or remote arrangements may be considered. Occasional travel to site may be required.
Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 commensurate with experience.
