Weekends are when the Gold Rush Inn truly comes alive - welcoming travelers, locals, tour groups, and everyone in between. As our Weekend Floor Captain, you’ll be the on-floor leader making sure every guest room and hallway reflects the warmth, comfort, and reliability our hotel is known for. You’ll support the housekeeping team, keep operations moving, and ensure the hotel shines at its best.
What Does Your Success Look Like?
- Floors are well-organized, rooms are released on time, and standards are consistently met
- Room attendants receive clear direction, coaching, and support throughout the shift
- Quality checks are completed and issues are fixed proactively
- Guest requests are handled professionally and coordinated with Front Desk
- Communication with Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Front Desk is timely and accurate
- Opening and closing procedures are completed and documented correctly
- You model reliability, professionalism, and NVD values in every interaction.
What You Bring to The Role
- Experience in hotel housekeeping; floor-lead or supervisory exposure is an asset
- High attention to detail and pride in clean, well-presented rooms
- Comfortable organizing workflow and supporting staff independently
- Strong time-management skills with the ability to keep room boards and workflows on track
- Clear communicator who works well with Front Desk, Maintenance, and housekeeping staff
- Comfortable reinforcing standards and providing constructive feedback when needed
- Able to adapt quickly, including stepping in to support cleaning tasks when operations require

Job requirements:
- Reliable and fully available on Saturdays and Sundays
- Physically able to support housekeeping operations (standing and walking for extended periods, ability to frequently lift 30lbs).
