Join our Team as a Ground Operations Ramp Attendant!
Are you looking for an exciting career in the aviation industry? If you are a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, in all weather conditions, and enjoys working as part of a team, we want to hear from you!In this critical front-line role, you will ensure the safe and efficient movement of aircraft, freight, and ground support equipment to assist the Pilot in Command for all flights. Ramp Attendants play a key part in keeping flights on schedule and maintaining a smooth travel experience for passengers.
2 Positions Available: Full-time Permanent or Full-time seasonal positions available.Start Date: early March for the first position and late April for the second position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Accept, unload, weigh organize and track all customer-related freight.
- Accept and properly track/store Dangerous Goods.
- Assist Pilot in Command in loading and unloading freight and cargo.
- Operate ground support equipment (tug/tow, forklift, snow plow, kubota etc.).
- Conduct safety checks and maintain a clean, hazard free ramp area.
- Assist with aircraft pushback, towing and marshalling procedures.
- Safely fuel, load and tow aircraft as required.
- Tidy and clean all hangars, and monitor and maintain the freight yard.
- Service ground equipment, maintaining fuel levels and cleanliness of company vehicles ensuring all equipment is operational.
- Work collaboratively with clients, dispatch and flight crews.
Personal Characteristics:
- Preferably over the age of 25 to meet driver’s insurance requirements.
- Attention to detail and safety when handling equipment and all freight.
- Ability to balance multiple fast-paced, time-sensitive tasks while remaining focused on customer interaction and care.
- Reliable, dependable, and punctual.
- Strong organizational and decision-making skills.
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions.
- Strong situational awareness and commitment to safety.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with clean drivers abstract.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 70 lbs).
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus but not required.
