Early Childhood Educator (Part Time After School)

Part-time: 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm
Wages depend on the childcare certification level:
Level 1 -$26.00 hourly
Level 2 - $30.00 hourly
Level 3 - $38.00 hourly
Main Job Duties :

• Develop and implement programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
• Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, taking children to local points of interest and providing opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity
• Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children
• Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor
• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with parents, co-workers and community service providers working with children
• May supervise and coordinate activities of other teachers and early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants.

Requirement:
- Yukon Child Care Services Certification
- TB screen

- Standard First Aid/CPR
