Position Overview:We are seeking a Delivery Driver to join our team in Whitehorse. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely delivery and pickup of rental equipment to and from customer sites. This role involves loading, securing, transporting, and unloading equipment of various sizes — including those requiring towing with heavy trailers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely deliver and pick up rental equipment to customer locations.
- Load and unload equipment using appropriate handling techniques.
- Ensure all equipment is properly secured and transported according to safety regulations.
- Complete delivery and pickup documentation accurately.
- Perform basic inspections and maintenance checks on trucks and trailers.
- Represent Local Rental Solutions professionally when interacting with customers.
- Follow all company policies, traffic laws, and safety regulations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with Heavy Trailer Endorsement.
- Clean driver’s abstract.
- Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and load securement.
- Ability to operate light to heavy trucks and tow trailers.
- Ability to operate various pieces of equipment
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects and work outdoors in varying conditions.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in equipment delivery or transportation industry.
- Familiarity with construction and industrial equipment.
