We are looking for a Customer Service Superstar/Cheesemonger to join our team 3-5 days a week (Saturday shifts are a must), for a long-term commitment! Yes, we are already thinking about Christmas 2025 and beyond! Did you see that line-up on December 23rd?!!!

What we need you to bring to the table is a long-term commitment (oh, did we already say that?) exceptional customer service skills, careful attention to detail, a passion for cheese and fine food, and a strong desire to learn. All that and be an all-around awesome person who will fit in with the tight knit Cultured Crew.

Are you mature, friendly, motivated and experienced working in fast-paced customer-focused environments? Do you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills? Are you efficient and accurate handling point of sale transactions? Are you comfortable multi-tasking? Do you take pride in your presentation, performance, cleanliness, and punctuality? Are you detail oriented? Are you creative in finding things to do when it's not busy and the dusting has already been done (twice)? Are you a Monterey-Jack of all trades? And most importantly, are you kind, patient, helpful and good humoured?
We are seeking someone who shares our passion for people and fine food! Knowledge of cheese is a bonus but not a necessity. Love of cheese is essential and old school customer service is a definite MUST! French speaking? Great, you can coach us!! ;)
This position is VERY physically demanding, requiring a great degree of physical fitness with frequent heavy lifting, long periods of time on your feet, kneeling, squatting and navigating tight spaces, stairs and ladders, while juggling up to 3 wheels of cheese at a time. We’re teasing about the juggling, but hey, if you can do it, all the better!
We pride ourselves on providing big joy in small packages to this community that we love. We really feel that it’s the small things in life that can make a big difference and we are honoured to contribute in small ways. Sure, there are times we really bust our butts at a fast pace, and other times when we do way too much dusting. We can go from flat out fast paced to tumbleweed in the same day, and we need someone who can handle both with grace. We are of the mind that there is always something to do, we are looking for someone who shares that mindset!
Yes, it’s retail, but it should be known that we have the most friendly and appreciative customer base ever!! Really, you will very quickly see that we share a special relationship with our community of cheese lovers.
We’re like a little family here, we laugh a lot, and we take great pride in what we do, working together and supporting each other as a team. And the staff discount and take-home treats surely help!!
