Position Title: Construction Labourer (NOC: 75110)

Term of Employment: Permanent Position, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.45pm) – Overtime Available
Business Location: 371 Atlin Road, Tagish, Y1A 7A1, Yukon
Worksites: Various construction sites in Yukon.
Note: This position requires the ability to travel between multiple job sites during the workday
Wage: $29.00 per Hour
Relocation Support: The employer is willing to pay relocation costs for any candidate not already in the territory

The Opportunity
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Construction Laborer to join our crew based near Tagish, YT. You will be responsible for providing essential support to all phases of construction, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and operating tools and equipment as needed.
Following will be the main job duties:
Responsibilities
Move, load, and distribute construction materials throughout the job site.
Set up and dismantle temporary structures including scaffolding, formwork, ramps, safety barriers, and similar site installations.
Assist skilled trades workers—including carpenters and roofers —with daily tasks.
Provide support to equipment operators by helping attach components, giving hand signals, and assisting with equipment operation.
Assist with excavation, grading, and site preparation for residential and commercial construction projects.
Level soil, gravel, and other surfaces using hand tools to meet grading requirements.
Participate in building demolition, sort salvaged materials, and maintain a clean work area.
Remove debris, waste, and other materials from the site to maintain cleanliness and safety.
Use hand-held and pneumatic tools such as tampers, vibrators, and hammers when directed.
Operate and monitor basic construction equipment including pumps, compressors, and mixers.
Lubricate and maintain hoisting or lifting equipment.
Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic in active work zones when required.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support project progress.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 7 months of verifiable experience as a Construction Laborer.
Physical Fitness: Must be in excellent physical condition, capable of heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs), standing for extended periods, and performing manual labor in varied Yukon weather conditions
Communication: Ability to communicate clearly in English with supervisors and teammates for effective task execution and critical safety matters.
Safety & Site Knowledge: Basic understanding of construction job site safety protocols and hazards.
Must be able to travel to and between various construction
Strong attention to safety, ability to follow instructions, and willingness to learn.
Equipment Experience: Minimal experience operating a forklift or similar equipment to move materials safely is an asset.
On-the-job training provided for suitable candidates.
