Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Construction Labourer to join our team. This is a hands-on role that supports our carpenters, equipment operators, and site supervisors in a variety of construction tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be eager to learn, and work well both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters, tradespeople, and site supervisors with day-to-day tasks.
- Load, unload, and move construction materials and tools.
- Operate and maintain basic hand and power tools safely.
- Perform site preparation, clean-up, and maintenance to keep worksites organized.
- Follow all workplace safety protocols, including use of PPE.
- Assist with framing, formwork, demolition, and other general labour duties as required.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous construction experience is an asset but not required — willing to train the right candidate.
- Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Comfortable working in outdoor conditions in all Yukon weather.
- Safety-conscious with knowledge of basic workplace safety practices.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
- Positive attitude, punctuality, and willingness to work as part of a team.
