Position Status: Full-Time, Seasonal, Temporary, Hourly
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Temporary General Outdoor Laborer. This role involves a variety of outdoor tasks to support summer and pre-season operations at Mount Sima. Work includes brush cutting, trail maintenance, general cleanup, and assisting other departments as needed. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors in a team-oriented environment. This position is currently available from May 19 to June 20 with an opportunity to extend.
Duties:
- Brush cutting and vegetation management on trails, including our new disc golf course
- General groundskeeping, including garbage removal and weed control
- Assisting with small construction or maintenance projects
- Trail cleanup and hazard removal
- Operating tools and safety equipment (brush cutters, chain saws, hand tools, etc)
- Performing other duties assigned by supervisors
Skills and preferred requirements:
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Physically fit and able to lift upwards of 50lbs
- Ability to follow safety procedures and work independently or in a team
- Must have a positive attitude!
Additional requirements:
- CSA approved work boots with good tread
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to learn and possibly flexible on hours as needed
