Intern Architect / Architect

Kobayashi + Zedda Architects Ltd. is Whitehorse, Yukon-based architecture, urban design, project management, and development company seeking out a talented individual to join our fast-growing multi-disciplinary design studio with current projects in all three of Canada's northern Territories. Located within the traditional territory of the Kwanlin Dun First Nation and Ta'an Kwäch'an Council, our office of 16 staff is one of the largest architecture, design, and housing development firms in northern Canada.
We are looking for an experienced intern architect with a passion for building design, collaboration, and innovation in a wild and impressive part of the country.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of post-graduate work experience with wood and steel frame construction, functional programming, concept and schematic design document preparation, technical review of documents, coordination of engineering and design related professionals, and experience with contract administration during construction. . An intimate knowledge of SketchUp, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, AutoCAD, and Revit software is mandatory as is a keen understanding of building concept and schematic design document presentation, detailing, construction documents, and consultant team coordination.
